Place the croissants on a tray with baking paper and let them defrost in the fridge for 2 hours. Cover them with some plastic foil so they do not dry out.
Preheat the waffle iron and grease the irons with some butter.
Roll the croissant in granulated sugar. This will give the croissant a delicious caramelised taste.
Put the croissant in the preheated waffle iron and bake it for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and baked trough.
Decorated with the whipped cream and toppings of your choosing (red fruit, tropical fruit, chocolate flakes …).
