These crispy croissants are a real Valentine’s treat. Pressed flat for an extra crunchy bite, lightly caramelised and dipped in chocolate, then finished with festive decoration. Easy to make, yet irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
Straight Croissant from Gourmand Pastries
Baking paper
Baking tray
A second baking tray or flat weight to press the croissant
Let the croissants thaw for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Press both sides of the croissants into fine sugar to caramelise during baking. Place the croissants between baking paper, press them flat and bake in the oven with a baking tray on top of the croissants.
Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown and fully baked.
Let cool for 30 minutes on a rack.
Dip in chocolate and finish with Valentine-themed decoration. Let your creativity run free!
